Spread the Word

We've got to sound the alarm to bring attention, education, and resources to this crisis. Here's a few things you can do:

1. Learn the Facts

Here's a few quick facts that you can remember and share or post to raise awareness about the Black maternal health crisis.

  • Nationally, Black women die at a rate nearly 3 times that of White women.

  • In some cities like Chicago, our rate of death spikes to 6 times that of White women.

  • The death rate of Black women is consistently high regardless of our education or income level.

  • Nearly 80% of pregnancy-related deaths are preventable according to the CDC.

  • Pregnancy complications can occur up to one year after pregnancy so you've gotta monitor yourself or your loved one til baby's first birth date.

  • It's critical to get medical care when you feel something's wrong so treatment has a chance to be effective.

  • Midwives and Doulas greatly improve health outcomes for Black women.

We all know that fashion makes a statement. Take a stance and show your support with one of our tees. Proceeds go to the production, printing, and distribution of more educational materials.
